New York, NY – Kim Wallace, former U.S. Treasury Assistant Secretary of Legislative Affairs, joins Renaissance Macro Research as Head of Washington Policy

Renaissance Macro Research (“RenMac”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Kim N. Wallace has joined the firm as a managing director and Head of its Washington Policy Group based in Washington, D.C. Kim comes to RenMac after serving at the U.S. Department of Treasury where he was confirmed by the Senate in 2009. Kim was Treasury Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, reporting directly to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner until October of 2011. In his role at Treasury, Kim was responsible for implementing fiscal, financial, and international trade policies designed to advance the U.S. economic recovery and sustain growth. In October, 2011, Kim received the Hamilton Award from Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, the highest honor bestowed on Treasury officials. From 1994-2008, Mr. Wallace was a research analyst and managing director at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital where he served as head of Washington Policy research. Kim was ranked as a top analyst in the Institutional Investor All-American equity research survey for multiple years during his tenure at Lehman Brothers. Prior to his Wall Street career, Mr. Wallace was a legislative assistant to Senate Majority Leader George J. Mitchell, and prior to that served as a staff analyst at the U.S. Senate Budget Committee. Mr. Wallace received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master’s Degree from the Johns Hopkins University.

In his new role at RenMac, Kim will be responsible for Washington Policy research, and will also serve as a senior advisor and RenMac liaison to The Scowcroft Group. Kim brings unparalleled knowledge of the legislative process, the inter-workings of Washington policy, and an intimate understanding of the facts surrounding the issues of our Nation.
