Pete Ward has over two decades of experience providing research on equities tied to the natural resources industry. Pete’s expertise has encompassed the mining industry including copper, gold, iron ore, coal, bauxite, potash & phosphates. Mr. Ward was employed by Lehman Brothers/Barclays from 1994-2011. At that firm, he built and led the global Metals & Mining research teams with over 20 analysts covering the sector. From 2011-2015, Pete was a Managing Director at Jefferies covering the North American Metals & Mining industry. Pete has earned a spot on the prestigious Institutional Investor All-American Research Team 13 times – every single time he competed. Most recently, Pete was ranked a Third team member in 2014. He was ranked #1 in 2005 & 2006. In 2010, he was ranked #1 in stock picking for Metals & Mining by the Financial Times. He was also ranked #2 out of over 1,800 US sell-side analysts in that same poll.
Pete has a BA in Economics from Furman University and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. And, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
